Hello my smart and intelligent ladies!! Welcome back to school: a time that is both fun and stressful. But the good news is that no matter how stressful your classes may be, food will always be there for you. As a wise person once said, “food may weigh you down, but it will never let you down!” (a quote from yours truly). So if anyone finds that they are already needing a break from school and campus food, ya girl has you covered with some new and old restaurants to try. Tre Forni
What: Margarita Pizza with Buffalo Mozzarella
Rating: 9/10
Savannah Says: A Jersey girl favorite: pizza! The owner of this newish restaurant is from New Jersey and has some truly delicious wood fired pizza, therefore any northerner that is missing pizza will find a piece of home at this restaurant!
Local 22
What: Garlic-Chili Slow-Roasted Baby Back Ribs (top), Raspberry Fields Cocktail (middle) & Wild Mushroom Pizza with Pesto, Mozzarella, and Truffle Oil (bottom)

Savannah Says: My cousin Chris recommended that we go to this restaurant and let me tell you he has a great taste in food! The ribs were fall off the bone delicious & super flavorful, while the pizza was just as decadent! And let me tell you girl, the drink was just as tasty as it was cute! Simply Superb!
Goorsha
What: A Combination Plate of Doro Wat (marinated tender chicken) & Lega Tibs (tender beef cubes) with Injera (the bread you eat with)

Savannah Says: If ya’ll have never tried Ethiopian food, get to steppin’! This new restaurant is the first Ethiopian restaurant in Durham and it is goodt! Flavors are bursting, meat is tender, and it is truly a great food experience!
Gonza Tacos y Tequila
What: Carnitas Tacos

Savannah Says: This is a true Durham favorite. The queso is on point, margaritas are poppin, and tacos stay fleeky. Not only do they have great food, but they also have amazing drinks, and an even better environment. Necesitas ir a Gonza mami‼!
Angus Barn
What: Alaskan King Crab Claws (top), Beef Ribs (middle) & NY Strip Steak with Broccoli (bottom)

Savannah Says: So technically this restaurant is in Raleigh, but ya’ll needed to know about this if you didn’t already. This place is solid. Always amazing. Every time. Quality food guaranteed. You’re welcome in advance.
The Parlour
What: Vanilla Ice Cream Brownie Sundae with Hot Fudge

Savannah Says: Do you even live in Durham if you don’t know about the Parlour? This homemade ice cream will give you a truly out of body experience. It is sensational and there is a 99.9% chance you will be shook.
