the girls who speaks
more than one language,
but still struggles to be understood.

but can’t seem to get them to listen.

but still doesn’t know which side to use.

To do more than just live,
But struggles to find a reason why.

the girl who wears
her culture like a garment,
proudly displaying her roots.

Shouting from the rooftops her story
listening to the cries of her people,
possessing within herself the power of change,
desiring a better future for her and her family

the girl who will
break down barriers,
And is force to be reckoned with.
