Chronicles of a Foodie: West Union

Hello ladies! I am happy to say that I’ve made it back safe and sound from my travels abroad! You already know I was in for a lovely surprise when my stomach was granted the deluxe privilege of getting to try out all of the foods at the new, amazing and delicious, West Union! Ya’ll. I was SHOOK. Seriously was not ready for all of the food and the itis it gave me. However, I was disappointed to find upon my return the amount of Dukies who told me after one semester they are “already tired of the food”. How. With the endless options and high quality of the food, there is no way. Luckily, I am here to share my secrets and dishes of the West Union that some of ya’ll may or may not already know. Be prepared for an enormous food baby!

Yup. You heard me right! Honey. Sriracha. BBQ. Wings. Honeysirarchabbqwings. It does not get better than this. The perfect combination of savory, sweet, and a lil’ spice. Make sure you befriend Lennis (the creator of this masterpiece), and he will put some extra love into your wings.

Margarita Pizza from Il Forno:

Ok. I’m half Italian so that’s why I’m always at Il Forno, don’t judge! But seriously, this is the real deal. Break up with your love of Dominos and Papa Johns, and let a real pizza sweep you off your feet. *Note: they also have make your own pizza options, so don’t sleep on that!

Yup. Make your own sushi‼‼ Delicious. If you want an idea, I love the roll with shrimp tempura, cumber and avocado on the inside, and eel and spicy mayo on the outside.どういたしまして (That’s you’re welcome in Japanese‼).

**Special Note: Forgot to take a picture because I ate it so fast, but if you want a fresh off the grill New York strip steak, Prime rib, salmon, tuna, and more, head to JB’s to special order the chop of your choosing. Plus, this is where J works now! So you already know he will give you a big smile and warm welcome that will make you feel just as full as the food is about to make you.
