Wearing My Protest

In my photography, I strive to capture people and objects in a way that helps you understand my own perception of the world. In this case, I was walking in New York and this man’s shirt stuck out to me because his clothes were serving as a statement of power and liberty. I did not know this man, but I didn’t need to know him to know that he was powerful. In all reality, him living every day as a black man in a world that opposes his very existence was statement enough.
