How does your identity - your culture, queerness, citizenship status, etc. - motivate your work?

“My position as a Palestinian-Muslim-American woman motivates me to work with other marginalized folks to actualize a world that finds strength in difference rather than exploiting it. Living between many different spaces and not quite fitting into one idealized version of who I should be or what I should look like inspires me to contribute to building communities that hold space for those that have structural oppressive powers working against us.” - Aisha Jitan
