Founder and current Executive Director of the Black Arts Theatre Company, and the Undergraduate Representative for the Department of Dramatic Arts Board of Access, Equity, Inclusion and Diversity, Elizabeth showcases her service through fine arts. After graduation, she plans to become an actor and open an affordable performing arts center in underdeveloped neighborhoods.

My work on campus and beyond is never complete. I believe in service, especially service through the arts. When my family lost our home when I was younger, so many people came to our side and assisted us when we needed it most. I’m doing all I can to pay it forward to anyone and everyone who needs it.

Who is a woman of color who inspires you and why?

“Donna Howard AKA my mom. She is a total rockstar and put herself through school to get her associate’s degree in criminal justice while raising five kids. Who you know that does it better? NO ONE.”

What is your proudest accomplishment at Carolina?

“Black Arts Theatre Company is my child and my love. I’m so proud and honored to have created something so important and necessary on this campus. My executive team makes my life so much easier, I don’t know where I would be without them!”
