Drizzy said “Own It” so I might as well,

Let's take this a little deeper than album sales.

Own it because it's yours to have and to hold,

But that’s easy to say when your body makes you feel proud and bold.

Stretch mark here,

Stretch mark there,

One too many,

Might as well be everywhere.

And don’t get me started on zits, them shits vicious.

They pop up uninvited, without warning, no text saying “on the way!”,

Marking their territory on the surface area of my face and ruining my day.

2 Chainz said “All I want for my birthday is a big booty ho”,

But my ass has yet to achieve big booty status and it fails to grow.

When you look at Instagram “models” you realize that it is all a facade.

Is my authenticity really worth trading in for a couple of head nods?

It’s not.

Because at the end of the day it will always be me, myself, and I.

And when you put it like that, I could really care less about the size of my thighs.

Look good because you want to, not because society’s standards says that you should,

Because when you lay down at night the only important thing is that you are good.
