Spinning
Ready and steady and everything’s -- good.
There’s a lot of turning, it’s inevitable when you’re on this axis
Which is inevitable -- I forget just why.
It’s a lot of tottering
Like I’m walking barefoot on a tree.
I’ve never been sure-footed
That’s a sure thing.
Tripping over air like it’s moving, like it’s always rushing
towards me.
I had a dream I was running in a field.
Running and running,
There was no end.
I loved the earth
And it loved me back
The warmth enveloped me,
Hummed in my ear.
“Nothing is anything, but you are all.”
I let this love course through me.
The weight of the world isn’t so heavy
When you hold it with both hands.
The world keeps rushing
And maybe I’ll fall.
Maybe, I won’t.
