When there is chaos around me

Death 

Not because it was time

But because you deemed death necessary

Your badge says you protect

But who are you protecting?

This digital age

Is finally televising my rage

But you don’t seem to care

Where is your anger and frustration?

We are more than a hashtag 

More than a quick post or tweet

Do not feel the need to appease me for a moment

I do not accept pity

I ask

Would you give up your luxuries

Would you give up your privilege?

This world is a living nightmare

One I can’t seem to shake
