When you came into my life I was tired and weak

you gave me validation

my confidence was at its peak

Whenever I was with you

there was no one in the world but us

you said sweet things and soon enough

you seemed to kind of have my trust

All the gifts you gave, the songs you sang

melted my heart more and more

until all of my emotions were a puddle on the floor

For you I would’ve done anything

but it started to feel strange

so I went back to the drawing board and tried to rearrange the pieces of us

I wanted it to fit right so bad

that I forgot about my sanity

I gave you all that I had

You took from me and took from me

you led me on

I thought our love would flourish

but now, our love is gone
