Sunday Divinity
Early morning,
In my glory,
I rise to meet you.
Refreshing and Renewing,
You relieve me of the week’s qualms
And my Saturday night sins.
Instill peace within my mind,
In my body,
In my soul.
Ashamed, at times when I’m engulfed in soot,
I try to hide from you
But you seek and you find.
Take me into your arms,
Place your hands on my spirit and
Cleanse me thoroughly.
Refurbished and whitened,
The next morning, I bloom like a blossom in dawn’s light,
To you, I am eternally grateful.
