A Letter to Autumn

Dear Autumn,

You so effortlessly embrace change

let go of the past

and color the world around you.

You give meaning to the in-between

a landing to the fallen.

You create movement where there was stay

bring comfort to the day

and yet with every sway

of your brown leaf

all I am reminded,

is that ‘Nothing Gold Can Stay.’
